Born and raised in Rogers Park, Diana Parker briefly left Chicago to earn a BA in Women’s Studies and English at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Since graduating she has spent her life working on issues of resource access and the disenfranchisement of vulnerable communities. She brings to the Advisory Council experience in Chicago supporting reproductive choice from her work with Midwest Access Coalition – which provides accommodation and support for “those traveling to, from, and within the Midwest to access safe, legal abortion, Rape Victim Advocates, Battered Women’s Network, IL Choice Action Team, and Chicago Volunteer Doulas. In addition to reproductive advocacy she’s dedicated to local organizing around the rights and protection of historically oppressed communities via direct action protest and legislative change.
